ENDORSEMENTS

Endorsement From Community Member Mr. Joe Didier

Tomorrow is the first day of early voting and Regardless of what happens at the end of this journey for me, it has been such a pleasure speaking with so many different people within our community.

What will our legacy be when we are no longer here? What impact did we have? Did I matter ? These are the questions most of ask ourselves.

Maybe it’s because I myself love community involvement, I respect and gravitate heavily towards those who serve but for no other reason than to give of their time to help at some capacity for nothing, or nothing much.

Those who have lived in this community for some time have likely met or have worked with Joe Didier at some capacity. It is men and women like him that actually make a community what it is.

I am beyond honored to know this man and have received his endorsement for Village of Sugar grove Trustee. Joe feels I will, “ Get done what needs to get done, and help expand our tax base.”

Joe Didier will be 78 years young this year. Resident here for 53 years.

Joe has been married for 56 years, he and his wife raised three girls. Joes father stayed with them until his passing and his grandson with special needs is in their care now.

Retired 29 years Illinois State Police

Coached girls softball

Little League coach

Sesquicentennial Parade chairman

Christmas Tree decorating committee 7 years

Old Timers Reunion Chair 15 years

Corn Boil Committee 20 years

Knights of Columbus 10 years

Sugar grove citizen of the year 2013

Thank you Joe, you are an inspiration!!

I am humbled and honored to have received the endorsement of the Fox Valley Building and Construction Trades Council for my Village of Sugar Grove Trustee candidacy.

Having the backing of the hard working men and women within the membership of this union is the first step to building relationships for future village projects.

The difference in the work is seen within the village at the Sugar Grove Senior Living development which was constructed to completion within one year, as opposed to the Prairie Point Assisted living project that we are now waiting for completion on for over three plus years. It is important to note that every year that a building sits unoccupied the village loses out on the full tax revenue for that building.

Thank you to Brian Dahl and the Fox Valley Building and Construction Trades Council for their endorsement.

On behalf of the affiliates of the Fox Valley Building and Construction Trades Council it is with great pride and pleasure that I announce our organization’s endorsement of your election as Trustee for the Village of Sugar Grove.  We appreciate your understanding of the value of utilizing union tradespersons on developments in Sugar Grove and we look forward to working with you.

Brian W. Dahl
